So, we’ve made it to March – Thank God! … From January to March, many of you guys have gone through much pain, much grief, much heart-ache and have experience great loss. Hard times really do have a way of pushing us into the center of God’s will. On the contrary, many have experience incredible success … {lifting hands and giving God thanks}. Having said that, the fact that you’re reading this means we’re ALL still here!
Well, I don’t know about you but I feel a SECOND WIND Coming On! As a former athlete, I know very well what it feels like to get an extra burst of energy when you feel like quitting. However, so that we all can be on the same page, here’s the definition of a “second wind.”
It is the return of relative ease of breathing after the initial exhaustion that occurs during continued physical exertion; (2) Restored energy or strength; and (3) renewed ability to continue in an effort.
I wish I could truly tell you what it feels like but it’s something you would have to experience for yourself.
Well, the good news today is you can! God is in the business of giving Second Winds. In fact, He is our Second Wind. He steps in when in ourselves we cannot go any further. When we are at our lowest ebb, when we feel like giving up and throwing in the towel, and when we’ve exhausted all of our abilities – that’s God’s good time! So, C’mon – Wash your face; Tie your boots; Lift up your head and don’t allow your enemies, your situation or your circumstance to discourage you! If God be for you, He’s more than the whole world against you! Your second birth has made you a born-again winner! Now, if you let Him, God wants to be your Second Wind too! He wants to be the wind beneath your wings that carries you to assured victory.
Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established. (Proverbs 16:3)
Commit your way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. (Psalm 37:5)
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom. (Luke 12:32)
And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. (2 Corinthian 12:9)
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)
I have fought a good fight, I have finished [my] course, I have kept the faith: (2 Timothy 4:7)
